Dr. Lu is a dedicated optometrist who has been providing exceptional eye care to patients since graduating from Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in 2021. A Colorado native, Dr. Lu began her journey in optometry after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2015.
During her time at SCCO, Dr. Lu gained extensive clinical experience through fourth-year externships at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, the University Eye Center in Los Angeles, California, Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital in Sacaton, Arizona, and Ketchum Health in Anaheim, California.
In addition to her clinical education, her experience at various clinical and private practice settings have allowed her to develop her skills in diagnosing/managing ocular disease, fitting soft and specialty contact lenses, and providing dry eye treatments.
Outside of work, Dr. Lu DJs at various concert venues in Denver and has performed out-of-state in cities such as New York, Seattle, and Sacramento. In her free time, Dr. Lu enjoys attending concerts, weightlifting, and dry flower-arranging.

Brenan was born and raised in Pueblo, but has lived in the Boulder area for 20 years. He started working at College Optical in 2003 while he was earning his degree in architecture from CU. He now has a wonderful wife, Kendra, and an amazing daughter, Vivian. As the longest tenured employee, Brenan possesses optical knowledge that can only be gained through experience. It’s what makes him an excellent optician and the resident technical expert. He is a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, and literally counts the days between football seasons. His other interests include golfing, smoking meats, and spending time with his family & friends.
